From early warning to long-term resilience
Carbonix is a UK-based advisory and project-development company that pilots and scales practical resilience models in climate-vulnerable regions—starting with its flagship initiative in Sri Lanka, designed for responsible adaptation across Commonwealth and emerging-market contexts.
Climate-related disasters, environmental degradation and inadequate infrastructure increasingly threaten communities, public services, livelihoods and economic development. Carbonix works across institutional, technological and community levels.
We support partners to assess needs, formulate projects, introduce appropriate technologies, strengthen institutional capacity and prepare communities to anticipate, respond to and recover from emergencies.

Flagship initiative
Our work in Sri Lanka
Carbonix is developing partnerships to support disaster preparedness, early warning, community resilience and environmental sustainability in Sri Lanka.
Carbonix Limited and Sri Lanka Life Saving have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on disaster preparedness, community resilience, lifesaving education and capacity-building initiatives in Sri Lanka.

Our project methodology is fully mapped to and guided by the priorities of the UN Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015–2030. We translate these internationally recognised priorities into practical, inclusive and locally appropriate action.

A concept for supporting municipalities in climate-vulnerable Commonwealth contexts to plan, partner and build lasting local capacity.

An exploratory collaboration linking environmental management with flood risk reduction through nature-based and institutional approaches.
